William Thomas Dailey, Sr.
Born July 13, 1931 to Richard Leo and Elizabeth Nellie Carson Dailey in Malvern, Ohio. Beloved husband of Lois Marie Salisbury Dailey (wed June 20, 1953) and father/friend to Robin (Willie) Scalero, Mary (Ezekial) Fernandez, Cheryl Dailey, William (Cheryl) Dailey, Jr, all of Alliance and Laurie Dailey of Lecanto, FL.
Died 2 months before his 72nd birthday at his home in Alliance, Ohio. He is now in Heaven with God where he would want to be.
He is survived by sisters: Edith Sayre, Mary Tripp, and Gaynelle Fuson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Myrtle Miller and two brothers, Frances \"Bud\" Dailey and a baby brother.
My dad was one of the greatest men I have ever known. He was a loving husband of almost 50 years. He was a devoted dad and as his children grew and matured he became a confident and a true friend. He was my best advisor and his wisdom showed in every thing he said. He was a God loving man and he loved people. He had a heart of gold and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. I could go on and on but there is no way to truly help anyone understand the depth of love a daughter has for her father except to say that my heart has an emptiness that is indescribable in words. I miss him so very much and would give anything just to be able to tell him one more time how very much I respect, look up to and love him. I only pray that one day I will get that chance and that I have made him proud of me because I am who I am thanks to my parents.
He loved playing santa claus for the nursing homes in our area and I remember at christmas, that became our life. He was very unselffish.

The nights are getting longer, the sun is barely here
The weather is cold and frosty so Christmas must be near
Twinkling lights will start appearing, Holly and Tinsel here and there
Santa Wish Lists will be written by excited children everywhere
Our Christmas Day will be filled with memories, with sadness and with tears, with remembering Happy Christmas's spent together in previous years
It's Christmas time without you, so it will not be Happy and Jolly Just very empty, sad and blue
But deep down I know you'll be with me, I will feel your presence when I am blue, I will smile when I remember some silly times, and the twinkling eyes that were uniquely you
So, I am not looking forward to this Christmas, I know the happy moments will be few, but I know it is something I have to live through... Christmas without you!
